Wow.  This was a comment based on an article about being single and celebrating your singleness.  Being single doesn’t sound like fun and let me tell you, it’s not!  There’s a new website for singles that isn’t trying to hook them up, just trying to help them celebrate aloneness.  They advertise a coffee maker that just makes one cup.  One measly cup.  Am I the only one who thinks that’s depressing?  You can’t even have seconds without going through some additional effort.  It’s not enough that I have to pay the mortgage by myself, clean by myself, keep myself warm at night, but on top of it, if I want seconds, I have to make twice the effort to do that too.  Wait, why would I celebrating being single again??? 

Then I read on to find out that 70% of women meet the man they’ll marry before age 24.  By 30, your chances are one in two that it’ll ever happen.  And by 40, one in five.  Are you kidding me?  A 20% chance that I’ll ever get married.  How come I feel like someone just pissed in my Cheerios?Another comment: 

“I’ve learned you can be in a room with a thousand people who are all paying attention to you and still feel like the loneliest person there.  And it’s mostly because even though so many people care about you they really just don’t “get” you like a person you are in love with does. “

Not much I can say about that.  The single life sucks – there’s no one to witness my life and no one to “get” me.  So anyone who says single life is all that you make it and that you can actually be fulfilled being single really should share whatever they’re smoking.  Puff, puff, give.
